Awesome. Buy small
these gloves are awesome. I was between sizes and bought the size I thought was correct. I wish I had gone smaller and they swapped me without hesitation. That is almost unheard of these days. they have made a lifelong customer of me!
Way to go M&B
Loved the packaging and look of the gloves!! Goin into our Alberta hunt was a little nervous about how stiff they were, but they handled perfectly in the field! Setting up decoys, keeping my hands warm and dry were all key components these gloves helped me with. I haven’t had my own pair of own work gloves yet and I plan to use these for everything!!! Even mowing :)
I had a bit of a tough time figuring out how to describe the niche that these Deerskin driving gloves fulfill, especially for the price you're paying and the good materials used. However, after a bit of time with them and a recent wristwatch acquisition, I think I've figured out how to describe these—and this applies to the standard buffalo gloves, too:
If you're the type of person to wear a Bertucci Field Watch, then these Maroon Bell Deerskin drivers are for you.
I will elaborate. These Deerskins and the Buffalo equivalent fulfill a very specific niche: a middle ground between a utilitarian pair of work leathers, and the dressiness of a formal dress glove. These Deerskins, while supple in their own right, are still significantly thicker and less tactile than my Dents gloves from UK; and unlike my Oregon Glove goatskins, I hesitate a bit more to shove these into the dirt. However, they are also significantly more sturdy than a Dents while looking formal enough for the office; also more stylish than a gunn-cut leather work glove. I wouldn't wear these at, say, a wedding or a gala, but that's not what they're meant for.
Similar to why I eventually bought a Bertucci field watch. It's a middle ground between the dressiness (and fragility) of a Hamilton Khaki or a Seiko SNK, and the ugly ruggedness of a dinner plate-sized G-Shock. A good middle ground option between sheer durability, and the stylish formality of a field watch.
If that sounds like you, get these! They're great
